The fifth generation of the Prius defies convention with a whole host of innovations. Thanks to its highly efficient powertrain and the high-performance battery, it can be used to drive distances of up to 86 km every day, running solely on electric power.
Low-emission driving is fun: The combination of an efficient electric motor and a two-litre petrol engine with a system output of 164 kW (223 horsepower) not only ensures that the car runs smoothly and quietly, it also provides for impressive acceleration – going from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.8 seconds.
The Prius comes equipped with the helpful T‑Mate driving assistant – ensuring comprehensive safety in every situation. This system also includes the latest generation of Toyota Safety Sense, which makes sure that you and your passengers remain safe on the roads at all times.

Who can rent a vehicle?

Is there a minimum rental period?
At Toyota Rent, a rent is envisaged for 30 days or longer. A shorter rental period is also possible on request.
Do you have to be a minimum age to rent a Toyota from Toyota Rent?
Yes, you have to be at least 19 years old and have had a driving licence for at least a year.
Where can I collect the rental vehicle?
That is possible at one of more than 40 Hertz stations and all Toyota partners in Switzerland. Alternatively, you can also have your rental vehicle delivered in return for a small fee.
Can the model be exchanged for another if necessary?
Yes. After a rental period of 30 days, you can exchange your current Toyota at any time for another Toyota.
What costs are included in the rental price?
The monthly rental price includes the rental price of the desired model, the road tax, the motorway vignette, the seasonal tyres, anti-theft protection and liability reduction in the event of a claim with a deductible, passenger accident insurance, a free-of-charge additional driver, the young driver fee for drivers under the age of 25 and an allowance of 4000 kilometres.
How are the rental instalments paid?
The monthly bill or final bill in the event of early return after 30 days will be debited from your credit card.
Can somebody other than me drive the hire car?
Yes, you can register a second driver free of charge. This person must be registered at the station and provide proof of his or her identity.
Can a third party pay my rent if I do not have a credit card of my own?
Yes, but the credit card holder must be present on collection.
